Extra Tours for English Tourism Week

Tourism Week 13th - 22nd March 

Here in Chester, we love all things Roman and enjoy selling our daily Roman Soldier tours so that visitors to this ancient Roman Town can enjoy learning about our Roman history  and these tours feature regularly through tourism week. We have encouraged our tour guides to offer other themed tours to demonstrate that Chester has a lot to offer both visitors and locals looking to be intrigued.

This week we have Viking, Medieval, Tudor, Edwardian, Victorian and Georgian walking tours to be enjoyed.  All the tours are 90 minutes long, and all bookable from the Visitor Information Centre and all include a great walk whilst considering that period in history. We also have other themed tours such as the Hangman tour, the Dark Chester tour, the Filthy Chester tour and the Ghost tours strictly for adults, focusing on a different side of our history for those brave enough!

We also have a new Retail tour for those interested in the history of shopping and the Christianity, Romans and torture tours which, normally just runs once a month will be featuring this week. Our brand new Civil War tour is bookable during tourism week, and every day we have our Welcome to Chester tour and Brief History of Chester tour for those looking for a general history tour. Our popular Heart of Chester tour and Roman soldier tours are all bookable as normal alongside all the extra tours that we have arranged to delight visitors to this great City.
