Kerridge End Holiday Cottages are 3 award-winning luxury family-friendly holiday cottages, located in the grounds of a Grade II listed former gentleman's residence, in the conservation area of Rainow village in Cheshire's Peak District. The Hayloft is a conversion of a Grade II listed barn featuring stunning exposed beams, distinctive circular windows, and unique character. There are three ensuite bedrooms, which except for one are one level, making it suitable for wheelchair users travelling with a friend or family member who assists with everyday tasks. The large lounge has original wood flooring, a smart TV and there are also books and games to keep the family entertained. The well-appointed kitchen has oak work surfaces, a refrigerator/freezer, a built-in cooker, hob & extractor, microwave, and dishwasher. This opens onto the dining area, which seats eight people for elegant dining.
The Stables is an enchanting conversion of a ground floor Grade II listed stables which sleeps two guests. The distinctive half-round windows which were a prominent feature of the building have been preserved. The lounge, dining and kitchen area are open plan with oak flooring. The kitchen area has granite worktops, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, built -in oven, hob and extractor. The lounge area has a leather suite and is equipped with a flat-screen Smart TV, DVD player and HiFi. In the bedroom there is a king-size bed and there is enough space for a cot, so babies are welcome. The stunning ensuite bathroom is superbly equipped with a double steam shower enclosure, twin sinks, jet spa bath and bidet. The Coach House is dog friendly accommodation comprising of a large lounge with a Smart TV. There is a well-equipped breakfasting kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, built-in cooker, hob & extractor, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer and dishwasher.
For that more formal occasion there is a separate dining room. The main bathroom is also on this level while on the ground floor is the master bedroom with ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds which can be a double. The cottages are within a stone's throw of the Gritstone Trail, where white-spotted deer are seen to wander, and views evoke memories of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy. Here you can also discover the beauty of the Peak District National Park, stumbling upon endangered wildlife concealed from the rest of the world.
