5 Things to do this Week - 1st - 8th September 2025
Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.
1. We're Going on a Bear Hunt Sculpture Trail
If you haven't been to Tatton Park this summer for their Bear Hunt Trail, then this week is your last chance. The magical trail sees Tatton Park’s iconic gardens home to a very special collection of eight bear sculptures, providing a colourful landscape of imagination, discovery, and excitement for families of all ages. Make it a full day out and continue the adventure down to the farm, where there will be two more bear sculptures to find.

2. Foreign Bodies, Warrington Museum & Art Gallery
This new exhibition at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, offers a forceful insight into an artist’s own experiences and relationship with gender. Skye Baker’s solo show, will feature confrontative performance and video-based work in response to the psychological and physical impact of her transition journey.
The exhibition also aims to convey the broader experience of the trans community in the UK as a whole – exploring how these people are perceived amid a divided society.
3. From the Earth to the Stars Art Trail
Residents and visitors are invited to explore the art trail, find the artworks and take part in exciting creative workshops in the town centre.
Artists have been working with children and young people from local schools and groups over the Spring to create new artworks that celebrate Winsford. The artworks, that include film, animation, sculpture, sound pieces, text art, shadow puppets and installations have all been inspired by the town’s past histories, present stories and its future possibilities.
The artworks can be found within the newly created public realm, from the town centre subway to Winsford Library and into Winsford Cross Shopping Centre.

4. Space Safari
This Saturday, Space Safari comes to Cheshire, a spectacular drone light show, conveyed with storytelling and state of the art production. A swarm of 500+ luminous drones will perform in a theatrical aerial display.
With epic-scale narration by BBC wildlife TV presenter Michaela Strachan with cinematic sound & light.
The event includes live entertainment, fairground rides, face painting, multi-sensory play zones, VR Gaming concessions, international food village and axe throwing followed by a cinematic narrated drone light show.
