Anderton Nature Park provides a haven for wildlife on restored industrial land adjacent to the historic Victorian boat lift and near to Northwich town centre.

As a result of its industrial past areas of salt, lime, ash and clinker create different conditions which allow unusual plants to thrive.

There are several routes to explore but the route high-lighted on the map and in the downloadable route directions is fully accessible and takes you along a fabulous waterside walk with the option of visiting the bird hide at Haydns pool.

This is a wonderful walk that allows you to experience various different wildlife habitats. You could also visit the Anderton Boat lift and make a real day of it.
