Learn about the Roman Empire and see 2,000-year-old Roman coins up close. Discover the towns important role in the industrial revolution and how far a fustian cutter walked in a day. Imagine what it would be like to be locked into the old town stocks, to wear the scolds bridle or to be evacuated far from your Manchester home during the Second World War.There are monthly history walks around the town and an exciting programme of talks and temporary exhibitions.
