Greater Manchester Grocer to open first stall in Cheshire

Knutsford Market Hall is delighted to announce the arrival of Waterhouse’s Quality Food, a heritage greengrocer and pantry store bringing fresh, high-quality produce and eco-friendly essentials to the town centre.

Established in 1921 in Stockport, Waterhouse’s Quality Food is an independent, family-run business now spanning four generations. Its new Knutsford location offers a comprehensive range of fresh organic and non-organic fruit and vegetables, zero-waste refills, cold-pressed juices, retail coffee, smoothies, smoothie bowls, and fresh bread.

Jen Vickers owner of Waterhouse’s and great granddaughter of the founder, said, “We are a family run business and we are delighted to open our first store outside of Stockport in Knutsford. Knutsford is such a lovely, friendly town, and the market hall offers a centrally located space for our fresh produce, refill station, pantry range, and cold pressed juices. We will be offering organic and non-organic produce, retail coffee, smoothies, smoothie bowls, and bread. We can’t wait to open.”

Sandra Curties, Town Centre Manager, said, “We are delighted to welcome Waterhouse’s Quality Food to our market hall family. They bring a wealth of experience to the market as well as passion for what they do – providing the community with the freshest produce available. They will also work alongside our butcher offering free local deliveries which is perfect as we lead up to the festive season.”
