5 Things to do this Week - 22nd - 29th September 2025
Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.
1. The Woman in Black, Storyhouse
The legendary production of Susan Hill’s chilling ghost story The Woman in Black comes to Storyhouse this week!
One of the most successful and longest-running theatre shows in the history of London’s West End, this gripping production is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror. Now seen by over 7 million people worldwide, The Woman in Black continues to delight and terrify audiences of all generations.
Obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black, Arthur Kipps engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.

2. Ghost Tours at the Forge
The Forge is working with Chester Ghost Tours and are hosting a Ghost Tours of Chester with dinner at The Forge Restaurant this Thursday.
Chester is steeped in 2000 years of history, and with hundreds of Ghost sightings, Chester can claim to be one of the most haunted cities in Britain.
So why not join a knowledgable tour guide who will take you on a night -time journey around the eerie haunts of Chester and then back to The Forge for a 3-course dinner with some ghost stories by the guide.
You can also purchase your tour guide’s book, Chester City of Ghosts, and have this signed by the author with a personal dedication.
3. Goosfest
Goosfest 2025 is a vibrant arts and music festival taking place in Goostrey from this Friday until 12th October 2025. Across the week, the festival brings together professional entertainment, local art exhibitions, creative workshops, and a packed programme of music, theatre, comedy, and community events, all organised by enthusiastic volunteers.
