Enjoy a pleasant stroll around the Mere, with opportunities for bird-watching and fishing, or why not picnic beneath the birch and oak woodland?
The path is circular around the Mere and wide throughout. Surfaces are firm and even. There is some loose stone within the car park so it can be a little bumpy there.
Relax on the numerous benches situated around the route – there are also picnic tables near both car parks. A number of fishing platforms suitable for wheelchair access are available.
The Mere is stocked with carp, bream, roach and perch and leased by Lymm Angling Club. Day permits are available on the bank.
