Crewe Heritage Centre is the town's only museum, telling the story of how a small farming hamlet became an engineering heavyweight and household name in under 200 years. Play traditional games in the Exhibition Hall The centre is run by Crewe Heritage Trust on the original site of Crewe Works, once the largest railway engineering works in the world.Free admission for children in 2026 from 1st April when Crewe Heritage Centre reopens.This is a saving of £6 per child per visit compared to 2025. With new displays and interactive experiences alongside a full programme of special events designed for visitors of all ages.Families can also plan budget-friendly days out with the return of Free Admission on Wednesdays during Cheshire East school holidays.
