Northwich Extravaganza

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and Northwich is set to shine brighter than ever! From twinkling lights to family fun, festive flavours, and Santa himself – this year’s Christmas Extravaganza is bursting with holiday cheer for everyone.

Saturday 29th November marks the official start of the celebrations, with the festivities kicking off at 11am. The town will transform into a winter wonderland packed with free fun for all ages – including a Christmas Crazy Golf course, face painting, festive games, and a bustling craft village. Don’t forget your camera, because Santa will be arriving on his sleigh for magical meet-and-greets and unforgettable photos!

There’s something for everyone to enjoy from one end of town to the other — from the ferris wheel on Apple Market Place to the giant snow globes in Barons Quay and free-to-play games at the top of Witton Street, alongside crazy golf, face painting, festive treats and much more. Look out for photo opportunities with surprise Christmas characters and your chance to win great prizes!

As the sun sets, the magic truly begins… The Lantern Parade will light up the streets from Waitrose at 5pm, leading to the dazzling Christmas Lights Switch-On in Barons Square at 5:30pm – followed by a spectacular fireworks finale at 6pm that will leave the sky sparkling!
