Christmas Recorder Concert

Join the Concert Group of the Macclesfield Branch of the Society of Recorder Players for a varied selection of music ranging from ancient traditional tunes and carols, some with a twist, via arrangements of classical and romantic music to contemporary (but approachable) works specially written for this sort of ensemble.

You will hear the five most frequently-encountered recorder "voices" -- sopranino, soprano (descant), alto (treble), tenor and bass, with several players showing their versatility by playing different instruments as the concert progresses.

Free to attend, no booking required
