About

Robinsons Brewery Visitors Centre

Once upon a time, on September 29th 1838, there was an ordinary man called William Robinson, a cotton weaver of modest means, who bought a small pub called the Unicorn Inn on Lower Hillgate. The Robinsons family have been brewing beer at the Unicorn brewery in the heart of Stockport ever since. Pop in to Robinsons Visit England accredited Visitors Centre and discover the story for yourself. Visitors can marvel at the magic of the brewing process, admire new and original brewing equipment as they tour around the brew house, play with interactive screens, create their own perfect pub guide, visit the Shire horses (almost as famous as the brewery itself), buy beer related gifts and also explore some real vintage gems showcasing just how things have changed since 1838. Guests are invited to round off their visit with a delicious homemade lunch or afternoon tea – freshly prepared, using local ingredients and of course sample some of Robinsons finest cask ales (or soft drinks for those who are driving!). The Visitors Centre also houses state of the art conferencing and training facilities; offering the perfect setting to mix business with pleasure.
