Built in 1664 to replace a building destroyed in the Civil War, the Bear & Billet is one of Chesters finest examples of a black and white half-timbered building. Originally the town house of the Earls of Shrewsbury, the pub is also the birthplace of Beatles legend John Lennons grandmother!
