Final Preparations Underway for Warrington Food & Drink Festival 2026

Final preparations are now underway ahead of Warrington Food & Drink Festival returning to the town centre this weekend, with organisers confirming family entertainment, live music and visitor facilities across the site.

The free festival will take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May in Bank Park and the grounds surrounding Warrington Town Hall, bringing together food and drink traders, demonstrations, workshops and live entertainment across the weekend.

Organised by Warrington BID in partnership with Independent Street, Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington, the event returns following a successful first year which brought thousands of visitors into Warrington town centre.

Alongside street food, artisan produce and independent traders, this year’s festival will feature cocktail demonstrations, sourdough sessions, Cheshire cheese tastings and live music performances throughout both days.

Families visiting the event will also be able to enjoy circus skills workshops, balloon modelling, face painting and a small fairground, with organisers encouraging visitors to make a full day of it in the town centre.

Andrea Morley, BID Project Manager at Warrington BID, said: “With just over a week to go, you can really feel the excitement building ahead of the festival returning to Warrington town centre.

“One of the biggest things we wanted to build on this year was the overall visitor experience and making sure there is something for people of all ages across the whole weekend.

“Last year people stayed much longer than expected because there was so much happening across the site and around the town centre, and we’re expecting another fantastic atmosphere again this year.”

This year’s festival is sponsored by Kids Planet, one of the UK’s largest nursery groups, originally founded in Cheshire, which is supporting the family activity areas across the site.

Warrington Food & Drink Festival takes place from 11am to 7pm on Saturday 16th May and 11am to 5pm on Sunday 17th May.
