Could BeWILDerwood be the Best UK Attraction?

BeWILDerwood, the beloved woodland adventure park with locations in Norfolk and Cheshire, has been shortlisted for Best UK Attraction at the prestigious UK News Travel Awards. This is a fantastic achievement for a small independent attraction and sees the story-based park standing tall among industry giants such as Alton Towers, Eden Project and Paulton’s Park (Peppa Pig World).

Created and based off a series of magical children’s books and characters by author Tom Blofeld, BeWILDerwood offers a unique alternative to traditional theme parks. Set in natural woodlands, the parks lead with their enchanting stories and focus on outdoor play, and family adventures. Having previously won regional awards, this nomination marks a major milestone for the company, highlighting the impact of its charming approach to family days out – on a national level!

BeWILDerwood COO, Tom Gilliford commented,

“In the current climate it's great to see people turning to smaller, independently run businesses and we’re proud to be leading the way amongst this group. We feel that people want authentic and unique experiences with their families and it’s not just Bewilderwood that supplies them. We are proud to be part of a growing network of independent, British and often family run attractions that includes special places such as ROARR!, Stump Cross Caverns and The Ice Cream Farm.”

Unlike high-adrenaline rides and tech-heavy attractions, BeWILDerwood champions the power of imagination, with wooden treehouses, slides, storytelling shows, and character meet-and-greets - all set in the great outdoors. The nomination comes as a reflection of growing appreciation for screen-free experiences that encourage families to engage and create lasting memories together.

Voting for the UK News Travel Awards is now open to the public, and BeWILDerwood is encouraging its loyal visitors and fans to show their support.
