Clare Balding brings dog walk, author talk and book signing to Tatton Park

Award-winning broadcaster, bestselling author and passionate animal lover Clare Balding CBE is coming to Tatton Park on 24th September for a special event celebrating the paperback release of her debut novel, Pastures New. Guests joining the event can meet Clare in the Stableyard before enjoying refreshments and, for those bringing a canine companion, a walk through the park grounds. Combining a guided dog walk, author Q&A and book signing, the event offers a unique opportunity for readers and dog lovers to spend time with one of Britain's most popular broadcasters in the beautiful surroundings of Tatton Park.

A lifelong love of animals and the countryside

Clare grew up surrounded by horses and dogs and went on to become one of Britain's most recognised broadcasters after studying English Literature at Cambridge. Her autobiography, My Animals and Other Family, won the National Book Award for Autobiography of the Year, and in 2022 she was awarded a CBE for services to sport and charity. Alongside her broadcasting and writing, she remains a passionate advocate for animals, equality and women's sport.

Best known for her coverage of major sporting events, Royal occasions and the much-loved BBC Radio 4 series Ramblings, Clare brings the same warmth, wit and affection for rural life to Pastures New, a heartwarming novel set in the Welsh countryside.

Tickets: £12.50 per person

The ticket price includes park entry, the author event, a hot drink or bottled water and, for dog walkers, participation in the guided walk. Visitors may bring one dog per person, and all dogs must remain on a lead throughout the event.
