5 Things to do this Week - 12th - 19th May 2025

Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.

1. The Giant Wheel at Grosvenor Park

Ready to see Chester from a whole new angle? Step into the sky and let the Chester Giant Wheel lift you 35 metres above the historic rooftops. Like a modern-day time machine, this majestic wheel spins stories of the past and present with every turn.

Catch your breath as the city unfolds beneath your feet — from the lush Grosvenor Park to the winding River Dee, all framed by the horizon. Whether you are chasing golden hour or starry skies, this ride is your front-row seat to wonder.

  • Open daily (12–7pm) weather permitting.
  • Address: Grosvenor Park, Chester, CH1 1QQ
  • Tickets: £8 (adult) / £6 (child or senior) / £25 (family)

Book ahead, hold tight, and let Chester dazzle you from above.

2. Keep On Keepin` On, Crewe

Step into a whirl of love, laughter, and vinyl grooves in Crewe’s most heartfelt stage storm. Keep On Keepin’ On is a soulful, hilariously chaotic tale of Eugene and Maxine, ex-lovers whose lives keep spinning like the records they once danced to. Now, with a failing shop, a fiery girlfriend, and a son fresh out of jail, Eugene is learning that family drama does not come with an off switch.

Set to the beat of Northern Soul, this story pulses with heart, humour, and high-street heartbreak.

It is a laugh-out-loud, soul-rich, cash-poor ride that proves even the messiest lives can find rhythm.
