Each of our award-winning, 5* boutique barns are completely unique, even from one another (so our guests have a hard time deciding which is their favourite, maybe that’s why they come back time after time), but all offer the same thing - luxurious, breathtaking, interior designed, totally original, inspiring spaces in which to switch off, relax and enjoy your precious time out.
Real fires, indoor and outdoor baths, super fast wi-fi, surround sound entertainment systems, quirky yet luxurious interiors, fully equipped kitchens, Nespresso coffee machines and romantic mezzanine bedrooms with the comfiest, cloud like, White Company’ clad beds that you’ve ever had the pleasure of drifting off to sleep in!
Over 100 marriage proposals have taken place at the barns and with the option to add a range of VIP treats to your stay such as beauty treatments, a relaxing massage in front of the fire while listening to your favourite tracks on surround sound, a candlelit arrival, a barn full of red heart-shaped helium balloons, a hand-tied bouquet or a bottle of champagne on ice it’s no wonder our guests return time after time.
Child Friendly
Romantic retreats and special occasion stays are our forte but with Bewilderwood Outdoor Adventure, Cholmondeley Castle and Europe largest ice-cream farm on our doorstep, we are super child friendly too.

Situated on one of the most beautiful, designated cycle routes in Cheshire we are the perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the area by bike. Walking enthusiasts can enjoy all the wildlife to be found on the stunning walks in both directions along the canal, miles and miles of beautiful National Trust land in the form of Bickerton and Burwardsley, as well as The Sandstone Trail are all just 5 minutes from the barns. The Long Mynd, Hawkestone Park Follies and The Mosses are all here to explore too.
Cheshire Boutique Bathhouse
Prefer to be in town? Let us introduce you to our sister site, Cheshire Boutique Bathhouse, a stunning three storey Georgian Townhouse right in the heart of the beautiful ‘food lovers’ town of Nantwich.
Cheshire Boutique Bathhouse has not one, not two but three large roll top copper baths. It can be taken as a whole, self-catering house (sleeps 6) or as three, private, entirely separate, luxurious, romantic spaces that each sleep 2.
Stretched across the first and second floors of this perfectly located property you’ll find The Cocktail Lounge Suite and The Bar-th Room Suite.
The Bar-th Room Suite, with its leather club chairs, black and white flooring and antique chandeliers takes its inspiration from the super, sophisticated London Gentlemans clubs of old and is so named as it has a full, copper topped cocktail bar in the uber luxurious bathroom complete with large, copper bath big enough for two.
Venture up the beautifully lit staircase to the peaceful loft bedroom above, where you’ll find a sumptuous, superking, White Company clad bed situated beneath two large skylights for a perfect view of the stars from your pillow.
Across the landing, you’ll find The Cocktail Lounge Suite. Enter into the hallway with a beautiful, boutique king sized bedroom on your left and a breathtaking, bathroom on your right. Complete with a huge roll top copper bath for two sitting beneath a large skylight, you can watch the clouds drift overhead from underneath the bubbles.
Upstairs in the loft, there’s the cutest little 1920’s inspired cocktail lounge, with a bar, crystal glasses, leather and velvet sofas, games, cards and a huge flat screen cinema style TV. The perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner G&T or a post-dinner brandy and a game of cards before settling down to watch your favourite movie.
On the ground floor is The Walled Garden Apartment (sleeps 2). A huge, open plan kitchen/living/dining area with log burner and large French doors, which open out onto a sunny, south-facing walled garden. The expansive concrete floor has underfloor heating throughout making every bare foot step feel like a spa experience.
Venture out of the French doors to find a second large under cover seating/dining area (the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee and a warm almond croissant delivered to your door from Ginger Pickles next door!) outside you’ll also discover the cutest little, fully heated and insulated Potting Shed tucked inside the garden walls containing a third, William Holland copper bath that doubles perfectly as a hot tub. This beautiful Georgian walled garden was once where the vegetables were grown for the large manor house next door, where the apartment has retained its timeless, organic, botanical feel throughout.
The Bathhouse sits right in the centre of Nantwich, a beautiful, foodie market town. With its origins in Roman times, Nantwich has one the highest concentrations of listed buildings in England with beautiful examples of Tudor and Georgian architecture to be seen everywhere throughout the town. Cafes, restaurants, individual artisan shops, bustling food, crafts and antique markets fill this little town. With the Jazz Festival in April plus The Food Festival in September, these bustling events are not to be missed.
Perfect Location
Nantwich has its own station minutes from The Bathhouse and is just ten minutes from the mainline train station of Crewe (1/5 hours into London). A 20-minute train ride through the stunning countryside will whizz you straight into the heart of Shrewsbury where another whole world of Michelin starred restaurants, river walks, fantastic shopping and even an ancient, boutique cinema awaits. Perfect for a day or evening out.
Group Gatherings
Planning a getaway for a small group? The three barns at Cheshire Boutique Barns sleep 10 in total and with the addition of our brand new sister site, Cheshire Boutique Bathhouse (sleeps 6) located just 6 miles away in the centre of Nantwich. We can provide the perfect venue for boutique, chilled hen parties, family get togethers, mini wedding breakfasts, Christmas and New Year gatherings or reunions of friends.
The Walled Garden can seat up to 18 for supper and makes the most sublime private dining venue. Let our private chefs create your perfect meal and arrive at the space beautifully decorated for your event with staff on hand throughout.
