Peter Vos

Peter Vos is the town crier of Nieuwkoop, near Schiphol Airport in the west of the Netherlands, and a member of the Dutch Town Criers' Guild (EVSDON). He is 68 years old.

Every year he competes in the Netherlands for the title of best town crier of the Netherlands, achieving third place in 2023, second place in 2024 and fourth place in 2025. Several competitions are held annually, with five already on the agenda for this year.

Peter knows German and Belgian town criers but has not yet met his English colleagues. A trip to England would be an extra and international reward for his efforts as a town crier, and in Chester he will announce in his own way how beautiful it is in his hometown of Nieuwkoop.
