Christian Ashdown

Having been appointed as Haslemere's Town Crier in 2010 Christian has entered competitions across the UK over the following years.  He has won or placed in a lot of those competitions and his most memorable win was at Windsor at the AHGTC Championship, where he won first place competing against 38 other criers at Windsor Castle.  Currently this year he was runner-up at Ilminster's competition in May.  He has also won Best dressed Crier 3 ties at the Guild Championships and has won it at other events.

Christian is a former Household Cavalryman who goes for a Victorian Look, is proud to promote his town around the country and is currently the Chair of the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers, which is the oldest and largest body of town criers in the world.
