Everything you need to know about Keeper for a Day
We’re one of the only zoos in the UK that offers a one-to-one personal keeper day working with an animal section of your choice. You can choose from a range of different animal sections to look after, including some of the world’s most endangered species.
Booking in advance is required as spaces are very limited.
Mammal Keeper for a Day experiences - £350
Reptile Keeper for a Day experiences - £285
Bird Keeper for a day - £285 PLEASE NOTE: Our Bird Keeper for a day experience is currently not available due to avian influenza measures put in place by the government.
Bookings and payments must be taken over the phone. The day begins at 8am and finishes at 5pm with tea breaks and lunch included. You’ll also get a signed certificate in a presentation pack and a gift to remember your special day.
Participants must be physically fit and able to walk several kilometres around the zoo at pace, able to climb several flights of stairs and walk over uneven ground without difficulty.
Suitable for ages 18 and over.
Regrettably certain guests will be unable to take part including people with epilepsy; relevant phobias or known allergies; mobility issues; pregnant women and immunocompromised individuals.
Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved.
