Tatton Park is celebrating 100 years of Winnie-the-Pooh with a summer-long programme of family activities from 18 July to 6 September 2026, created in collaboration with HarperCollins. A highlight of the celebrations is a special storytelling event with acclaimed author Jane Riordan on Saturday 1 August, bringing the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood to life for a new generation of Pooh fans.

Best known for Once There Was a Bear, Tales from the Forest and other authorised Winnie-the-Pooh stories, Jane Riordan will host interactive storytelling sessions featuring Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and friends. Children will enjoy a Pooh story, learn how books are created, and discover how to draw the Bear of Very Little Brain. Families will also have the chance to meet Jane and have books personally signed. Storytelling places are free with garden entry but limited and can be booked via tattonpark.org.uk.

A summer of imagination and adventure

Across the Farm and Gardens, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, story trails and hands-on activities inspired by A.A. Milne's beloved stories and E.H. Shepard's iconic illustrations.

The Winnie-the-Pooh Centenary Exhibition, located in the Farm's historic Mill and Land Agent's Office, explores the origins of Pooh and the creative partnership between Milne and Shepard. The exhibition is free with standard Farm admission and is open Tuesday–Sunday, 11am–4pm.

Young visitors can also enjoy animal habitats, the annual Maize Maze and daily story sessions on the farmyard.

In the Gardens, the Three Cheers for Pooh! Story Trail follows some of Winnie-the-Pooh’s most memorable adventures, pairing favourite book extracts with classic illustrations. The trail is free with garden admission and runs daily from 10am–6pm.

Alongside the centenary celebrations, families can make the most of Tatton Park’s gardens, farm, parkland and play areas. The Park and Play Pass returns for summer 2026, offering unlimited vehicle entry to the parkland throughout the summer for £20 when purchased online before 18 August 2026.
