5 Things to do this Week - 11th - 18th August 2025
Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.
1. Summer of Fun at BeWILDerwood
Get outdoors and visit BeWILDerwood for a summer filled with fun, imagination, and muddy knees.
Follow the Pongy Potions stink trail, watch the new show Minty and the Big Stink, meet Minty herself and create lasting memories together as you swing and slide your way through the woods!
Inspired by the brand-new BeWILDerwood book Minty and the Big Stink, a Summer of fun is all about getting outside and getting stuck into magical adventures – just like Minty does.
Whoosh through the trees on the zip wires, brave the highest slides and create memories together as you master the towering treetop mazes!

2. Summer Fun at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre
Sun Protection Scientists - Summer Workshops - Become a Sun Protection Scientist and carry out your own investigations to find out just how important sun protection really is, in this brand new workshop!
Operation Earth - Summer Shows - Come along to this family show and together, with the help of expert scientists, investigate what is bothering poorly Earthy. Become a trainee environmental scientist and help to investigate Earthy’s land, air and oceans to see if you can find solutions to Earthy’s problems. Shows at 11:30am and 2:00pm
Tickets cost £2.75 per person in addition to the normal admission charge.
3. Northwich Pina Colada Festival
Northwich Pina Colada Festival is a free event, held in Northwich Town Centre this Saturday. Think Caribbean, pineapples and a little bit of carnival… and you get streets full of entertainment. With bars, pubs, restaurants and even Cafe’s offering their take on the Pina Colada – you’ll find cocktails & mocktails.
Northwich will become a vibrant, tropical oasis for the day with family-friendly zones where everyone can enjoy lots of fun activities, from live music, to old school street games and even grab some free candy floss and popcorn all day!

4. Chester Pride
This Saturday, Chester Pride returns to Castle Square with a vibrant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies across Cheshire, North Wales, and beyond.
The day starts with a colourful parade beginning at 12 noon from Castle Square, marching through the city followed by live entertainment from Liberty X, Chesney Hawkes, and acts such as Aiden Grimshaw, Booty Luv, Honey G, Kelly Wilde, Marcus Collins, and others. The main stage DJ is Dan Walker.
A second stage will showcase drag performances and a special tribute to The Vivienne plus there will be special zones for Health, Life & Wellbeing, Trans & Non-Binary, and Youth & Family Pride, alongside market stalls, food and drinks vendors, and community resources.
5. Mostly Mozart at Chester Cathedral
This Friday, head to Chester Cathedral for this classical concert featuring the music of Mozart and Haydn. Performed by the North of England Festival Chorus and Orchestra. Over 100 singers from all over the UK and abroad will come together, to sing the most uplifting and inspiring music by one of our most prolific and favourite composers.
