Martin Wood

Standing at a mere 7 Foot 2 inches tall he is the worlds tallest Town Crier and certainly one of the best looking! He has attended the last couple of Chester invitational competitions and his photograph has travelled around the world

He has been the Town Crier for Shrewsbury for the past 42 years and has also acted in many films including Christmas Carol and Harry Potter as well as being the Town Crier. He has also written numerous books on the history of Shrewsbury and can be seen most weeks leading groups of visitors around the town.
