If you haven’t had a chance to visit Heart of Africa at Chester Zoo yet, or need another reason to explore this new habitat, then this is your perfect opportunity.
For a limited time, we’re inviting visitors to explore our newest experience at the zoo without paying for a full day ticket to the zoo.
From 30 June to 11 July, you can access Heart of Africa only from 2pm to 5pm during weekdays for just £10.

Dive into a day packed with exploration and excitement at Chester Zoo!Immerse yourself in the magic of BEASTS, Chester Zoo’s captivating 360-degree digital experience. Wander through over 10 stunning indoor habitats, including the UK’s largest tropical biodome, Monsoon Forest, where you’ll uncover the secrets of the rainforest and see fascinating creatures like the Sunda gharial crocodile. Take a ride on the Lazy River boat through the award-winning Islands exhibit, or get closer to nature in interactive areas like the lemur walkthrough. The Heart of Africa admission ticket offer runs from Monday 30 June 2025 until Friday 11 July 2025 on weekdays only. (Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 July are not included)
The Heart of Africa admission ticket will only give access to the Heart of Africa zone with no access to the wider zoo or facilities.
Entry is from 14:00 until 16:00, with no access prior to this time. Normal zoo closing time applies.
Heart of Africa Admission Tickets are only available to be purchased in advance via the Chester Zoo website up to 9:30am on the day of your visit. Tickets not available for purchase on the day at the Ticket Windows.
All Heart of Africa visits need to be redeemed by Friday 11 July 2025, with no extension passed this date.
Heart of Africa admission tickets may be redeemed against the purchase of standard entry tickets on presentation of the original ticket to be redeemed before 7 September.
Heart of Africa admission tickets may not be redeemed against any other paid for activity or product such as Animal Experience or Events (Afterglow or Lanterns and Light)
A maximum of 14 x admission tickets may be purchased in any one transaction.
The offer applies to Adult/Student and Child tickets only.
No cash alternative is available, tickets cannot be re-sold or exchanged.
All visits are subject to availability.
Any other additional paid-for activities are exempt and do not apply.
Full zoo regulations apply.
Chester Zoo has the right to refuse entry and withdraw the promotional offer at any time.
