Aiden Byrne, renowned chef and TV personality who, in 2002, became the youngest chef to earn a restaurant a Michelin star, will join the Mayor of Knutsford and Santa, the May Queen and Crown Bearer, on stage to switch on the towns Christmas lights.

Chester’s festive celebrations are well underway with the Winter Watch parade taking place on Thursday 5 December at 7pm and a second chance to see it on Thursday 12 December. Both parades start from the Christmas Market in Town Hall Square. 

Chester’s festive Lantern Parade takes place on Thursday 28 November, school children from across the area will parade through the city centre with their hand made lanterns on Thursday 28 November for the annual Christmas Lantern Parade.

The Mayor of Ellesmere Port Councillor Paul Donovan will be switching on the Christmas lights in Ellesmere Port on Friday 29 November from the Civic Square.
