2) Alfie the Elfs Christmas Rescue at Ness Botanic Gardens
Alfie the Elf has been stranded - with no way of getting back to the North Pole...
This weekend join Alfie for this 45 minute show, at Ness Botanic Gardens, as he brings his fabulous stories to life, cracks jokes and tells us all how Christmas really works in Santa's workshop. Alfie the Elf's Christmas Rescue is a wonderful yuletide treat for children and their families, guaranteed to make this Christmas truly magical! 3) Christmas Films at Jodrell Bank
Jodrell Bank have turned their planetarium into a festive cinema for the month of December. So combine your visit to Cheshire's famous telescope with a festive film at 2:30pm. All you need to do is book your annual ticket or return visit for the date you want, then add the daytime movie of your choice! This weekend you can choose from festive classics Nightmare Before Christmas or Miracle on 34th Street.
If you can't make it in the daytime there are screenings in the evening too, this weekend choose from It's a Wonderful Life on Saturday and The Holiday on Sunday. All from just £10 per adult. 4) A visit to Blakemere Village
Christmas is a great time for a visit to Blakemere Village for festive activities, unique shopping and more! This Friday to Sunday you can get creative and get into the holiday spirit with festive crafting workshops, gather in the courtyard to hear delightful stories and songs from the beloved Blakemere Christmas Owl, and on Saturday meet their playful Christmas mascot and capture memorable photos as he brings Christmas fun to life. Rumour has it that he's green and can be slightly grumpy at Christmastime! If you can't make it this weekend, it's the same next weekend with the addition of Peter Waterman's Making Tracks Model Railway exhibition, showcasing intricate model trains and captivating scenes. 5) Deck the Hall at Little Moreton Hall
Visit Little Moreton Hall this weekend (Friday to Sunday) and make some lasting memories with family and friends. You are encouraged to suspend reality and step back in time to discover the hall like never before and travel through Christmas past. With no need for a time machine!
