Introducing The Cheshire Wine Experience: A Premium Vineyard Escape from Chester

Wine lovers are invited to discover a new way to experience the Cheshire countryside, as Walking Food Tours UK launches The Cheshire Wine Experience — an intimate, premium outing combining English wine, artisan cheese and spectacular rural scenery.

Designed for those seeking something a little different, this carefully curated experience offers a relaxed yet refined journey into the heart of Cheshire’s growing wine scene.

Guests will begin their experience outside Chester Railway Station, departing at 5pm aboard a luxury minibus, hosted by Walking Food Tours UK founder and wine enthusiast, Gareth Boyd. From there, the group will travel through Cheshire’s rolling countryside to Goldford Wines, a boutique vineyard set near the iconic Sandstone Trail, with sweeping views across the Cheshire plains.

At the vineyard, guests will enjoy a guided tour and tasting experience lasting approximately two hours. The tasting showcases the quality and character of English winemaking, featuring two sparkling vintages and one still wine. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with exceptional cheeses from award-winning local producer Ann Clayton, served with crackers to enhance the tasting experience.

There will also be time to relax, take in the picturesque surroundings, and purchase favourite wines directly from the vineyard before returning comfortably to Chester.

With limited spaces available, The Cheshire Wine Experience offers a unique and intimate opportunity for wine enthusiasts, groups and anyone looking to enjoy a premium countryside escape.
