Wright and Grainger: Selene
A young girl is watching the moon landings on repeat,
A bunch of teenagers are swimming under a lunar eclipse,
A mis-matched couple are watching a horror film at a drive in cinema,
Knutsford Market Hall is delighted to host our first event in partnership with Cheshire Rural Touring Arts with the internationally award winning experts in storytelling, Wright & Grainger.
Wright & Grainger take Greek Myths, transport them into the modern world and invite you along for the ride. This is the new sibling show to the hugely acclaimed ‘Helios’.
‘Selene’ tells the story of the Goddess and personification of the moon, known for her beauty, radiant glow and so much more; pull up a seat and learn the whole story.
This radical re-telling of an ancient myth explores growing up, discovering the light and dark sides of ourselves, finding the wild stuff within us and how we navigate the orbits we get stuck in.
It’s a story about what we’re stuck in the orbit of. It’s a story about the light sides of us and the dark sides of us. And it’s about the stuff inside us. All the wild stuff inside of us.
This compelling performances feature a storyteller, in a little room, with a tape player, an epic soundtrack and a delicate tale to tell.
"A flawless masterclass in taking an audience on an emotional journey"
