Nantwich Museum’s Open Art Exhibition

Nantwich Museum’s first Open Art Exhibition opens in the Millennium Gallery on Tuesday 31 March and is due to run until Saturday 20 June. The theme is ‘Heritage’ and some 70 pieces of artwork selected from more than 200 entries by a panel of judges will be displayed. These include 2D works, painting, drawing, lino printing, mono printing, abstract works, mixed media, collage, textiles and 3D works, black and white photography and sculpture.   The standard of entries was very high and selected artwork was chosen on its individual merits, how it might fit in the context of all other selected pieces and the Museum itself. The most popular artwork selected by the votes of visitors to the exhibition will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to exhibit their work in the Community Gallery at a later date. Most of the artwork is available for sale. Entry is free to the museum and exhibition. The museum in Pillory Street is open from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm (Tuesday - Saturday).
