What happens if it rains?

Moonlight Flicks screenings will not be cancelled before 6pm on the day of the screening. This is because the weather can change very quickly – we’ve seen very gloomy days turn into balmy evenings! Just before 6pm, our team will assess the weather conditions and make a decision. If a screening is cancelled, we will notify you by email – please remember to check both your inbox and junk folder.

Being outdoors, Moonlight Flicks can be affected by the weather. We recommend coming as prepared as possible with warm layers, a raincoat and an umbrella (just in case!). If there’s light drizzle that’s expected to pass, we’ll will proceed with the screening, but torrential or stormy weather may lead to cancellation.

If your screening is cancelled, we will send the email address used to make the booking an email with a form for you to let us know if you would like to exchange your ticket for a different screening or request a refund. You do not need to contact us.

Refunds will only be offered in the event that the screening is cancelled.

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Moonlight Flicks, as long as they won’t disturb other audience members. (They don’t need a ticket!)

Do I need to bring my own chairs?

If you have booked a standard ticket, you will need to bring your own seating. Deck chairs, outdoor beanbags and camping chairs are all perfect choices.

If you’ve hired a chair, your deckchair will be ready and waiting for you in a prime viewing spot when you arrive at the venue.

Already booked but want to upgrade? You can hire a chair here:

When should i arrive?

The festival site opens 90 minutes before the film starts, you’re very welcome to head down early to get set up and grab a frozen cocktail! There may be other events or performances taking place before your screening.

What time does the film start?

To make sure it’s dark enough for everyone to see the screen, film start times may vary slightly.

The advertised time is the earliest the film will begin, based on sunset forecasts – the latest start time will be no more than 20 minutes later.

How will I hear the film?

To ensure the best sound quality and a totally immersive experience, we provide individual wireless headphones to all ticket holders at Moonlight Flicks.

If you need any help with your headphones on the night, just speak to a member of staff and we’ll be happy to help!
