Lunch and Amphitheatre Exhibition Tour

Join us at The Forge Restaurant in Chester for a special lunchtime event combining seasonal dining with an exclusive guided museum experience.

Begin with a delicious two-course set lunch at The Forge, before taking a short guided walk to The Grosvenor Museum via Chester’s historic Amphitheatre. Once there, you’ll enjoy a private guided tour of the new ‘Chester Amphitheatre – An 8,000 Year Story’ exhibition while the museum is closed to the general public.

This fascinating exhibition explores one of Chester’s most significant archaeological sites, uncovering what stood there long before the Romans built the largest amphitheatre in Britain. It showcases discoveries from the major research excavations at Chester Amphitheatre between 2004 and 2006, a partnership between English Heritage and the former Chester City Council.
