5 Things to do this Week - 14th - 21st July 2025
Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.
1. Warrington Arts Festival
Get ready for a vibrant Warrington town centre takeover this week with an alien invasion, a life-sized knitted house and a nostalgic nod to iconic nightclub Mr Smiths among the eclectic highlights this year. The festival will focus on largescale, free and family-friendly attractions that aim to break down barriers to the arts and bring people of all ages and backgrounds together.

2. Nantwich Pride
This weekend Nantwich Pride returns with a vibrant, celebration of love, acceptance, and inclusivity. On Friday Paul Larcombe takes to the Civic Hall stage, and on Saturday you can enjoy a wide selection of free family entertainment in the Town Centre and at the Civic Hall.
3. Spitting Feathers Beer Festival
The Spitting Feathers Beer Festival has become a July tradition and for good reason. They've got a fantastic venue at the Brewery Headquarters in Waverton, Chester, and they pull out all the stops to get the best local bands and entertainers to keep the party going.
Of course, it’s all about the beer! You won’t find more of their brews in one place anywhere else. They showcase a wide variety of their cask and keg beers and ciders on tap, all served up perfectly by an amazing volunteer crew. They know just how to pour the perfect pint!

4. Chester Raft Race
This Sunday, get ready to make a splash as the Chester Raft Race returns for another unforgettable day of music, laughter, and plenty of river fun. This year’s theme is Best of British – rafts will be decorated to celebrate the very best of our great nation. Think Royals, Beatles, James Bond, Only Fools & Horses, Double Decker Buses, the Robin Reliant and everything in between! It’s going to be a lot of jolly good fun – pip pip!
5. Canal Town and Music
With a music theme, step back in time at National Waterways Museum and experience what it was like to live and work in the docks when Ellesmere Port was a canal town. Stroll through a landscape of Victorian buildings, locks, stables and cottages & chat with costumed volunteers.
