Chester Raft Race

Get ready to make a splash this summer as the Chester Raft Race returns for another unforgettable event! Join us for a day filled with music, laughter, and plenty of river fun.

Times:

– First Rafts: 10am
– Last Rafts: 12:30pm
– Meadows Event Village open from 10am
– Award Ceremony: 2pm
– Event Village closes at 4 pm

 Location: Groves (Map) and Meadows (Map)

The Chester Raft Race will be arriving this summer with music at the Groves (Map) and rafts launching from 10am at the Meadows (Map).

This year’s theme is Best of British – rafts will be decorated to celebrate the very best of our great nation. Think Royals, Beatles, James Bond, Only Fools & Horses, Double Decker Buses, the Robin Reliant and everything in between! It’s going to be a lot of jolly good fun – pip pip! 🇬🇧

Come and see dozens of handmade rafts strutting their stuff down Chester’s beautiful River Dee, racing to win awards while raising money for fantastic causes. Watch for free from the river banks & the bridge, then visit the meadows event village for food, drinks & entertainment throughout the afternoon.
