5 Things to do this Week - 20th - 27th October 2025
Looking for something fun to do? Here are 5 fantastic things to do in Cheshire this week.
1. Crewe Spooktacular
Crewe town centre will come alive this week with the first ever Crewe Spooktacular, a brand-new celebration packed with Halloween fun, live entertainment and free activities for all ages.
The Halloween celebrations began on Saturday, October 18th, with the launch of the Spooktacular Character Trail on Nantwich Road. Running until Friday, October 24th, the trail invites families to set off on a spooky adventure to find life-sized statues of Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Thor, Slimer and Kung Fu Panda hidden inside local businesses including United Carpets, Domino’s, Stephenson Browne, Butters John Bee Estate Agents, Repair World Direct and Apparel. Families who find all six and take a selfie or photo at each one will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 to spend in any Crewe business.

2. Miniature Steam Weekend
Cheshire Live Steamers will be showcasing small-scale miniature versions of full-size traction engines at National Waterways Museum this weekend.
Meet the Cheshire Live Steamers, who will be showcasing steam-powered engineering with a difference as small-scale miniature versions of full-size traction engines, built and maintained by the operators, steam and whistle across the museum site.
3. The Last Little Pumpkin at Storyhouse
Meet Hilda, a witch with a very special seasonal job, and Romy a feisty little girl who doesn’t like to follow the rules. But will Romy understand the importance of giving up something for the benefit of others? Join them all for a beautifully illustrated autumnal adventure.
Louise is a local author who has self published her first children’s book. The Last Little Pumpkin story was inspired by the famous shot tower in Great Boughton Chester. Along with the imagination of her daughter Romy this charming tale came to life!
