Searching for inspiration for what to do this week? We’ve put together a list of our top things to do or see this week as we head into October and spooky season begins!
1) Trena Cox: Reflections 100 Exhibition at Chester Cathedral
This week is the opening week of the Trena Cox: Reflections 100 exhibition at Chester Cathedral celebrating the life and legacy of the unsung heroine, Trena Cox, a twentieth-century female stained glass artist. Her vibrant designs can be found at over sixty locations throughout the North West and North Wales, with a small number at locations further afield, including Walsingham. She was a passionate advocate for the preservation of Chester’s heritage. Visit this exhibition to uncover her incredible life, see her art in situ at Chester Cathedral, and explore local artists’ responses to her output.
Workshops and activities accompany this exhibition so you can learn more about Trena Cox, how stained glass is made, and the exciting artwork that lights up our churches and halls. If you miss this exhibition this week don't worry it's on until 8th November. Find out more ->
