Join artist Ruth Lear to paint your own silk handkerchief.
The day will start with a behind the scenes look at pattern books from the stunning Silk Museum collection. These will provide you with the inspiration needed to create your own design. You will spend the afternoon learning the skills of painting on silk and transferring your design to a beautiful silk handkerchief.
Ruth is a talented local artist with a wealth of experience delivering workshops and painting on silk.
No prior experience is needed and all materials will be provided.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat in the museum or pop into Macclesfield for lunch.
