There are over 4,300 car parking spaces available in Chester city centre car parks. These offer a range of tariffs for short and long stay parking. Long stay visitors can park for up to twelve hours in the Little Roodee for just £6, whereas Trinity Street, Delamere Street and Chester’s New Market Parking at Northgate offer a range of tariffs for day visitors to the city. Evening visitors can park in the New Market Car Park which is centrally located, well lit and covered by CCTV, for a flat rate of £4 after 6pm. Tesco on Frodsham Street has opened a new carpark and you can park there for FREE for 4 hours if you spend £15 in store.

Cycle Parking
Chester’s first indoor cycle parking space is now open within the New Market Parking multi-storey car park. The Cycle Hub will be open daily from 6:30am to 11:30pm and includes CCTV, security and access controls and the following facilities:
Anyone wishing to use the Cycle Hub can pay a one-off £10 fee for an access card, available from the car park office within the New Market Parking to the right of the entrance.
As well as the Cycle Hub, outdoor cycle parking facilities for 50 cycles have been installed across the Northgate scheme for more casual cycle parking including Exchange Square, Princess Street and Hunter Street. A cycle gully has also been installed within the steps at the east end of Princess Street or riders can use the lift adjacent to the steps.
In addition, a cycle-only ‘contra-flow’ lane has been installed along Hunter Street to enable cyclists to turn right out of the car park to access Northgate Street.
