A wonderful section of the Dane Valley Way that takes you through mixed grazing fields. The second half of the walk meanders through the Cheshire Wildlife Trust site Swettenham Meadows which is a haven for water loving plants. Finally a short walk through the village brings you back to the car park.

All year round – the Tatton Garden Society will do guided walks by arrangement around the Lovell Quinta Arboretum behind the Swettenham Arms pub. Cost £5 per person which includes the entrance fee of £2.50. The walk takes one and a half hours. You can then enjoy tea, coffee, lunch or afternoon tea at the Swettenham Arms for the perfect morning or afternoon. Quinta Arboretum is a stunning nature reserve originally developed from grassland by Sir Bernard Lovell. It's home to a plethora of different trees and home to lots of wildlife. Definitely worth a visit for a day out in the country for tree lovers and families alike.
