209 is the culmination of a lifelong dream for husband-and-wife duo Felix Shore and Anna Roseblade. Nestled in the picturesque village of Farndon, Cheshire, this modern British bistro is an inviting haven where exceptional food and heartfelt hospitality come together.
Felix and Anna’s journey to 209 is as rich and diverse as the dishes they serve. Anna’s career has spanned fashion design and frontline nursing during COVID, but her true calling has always been in creating spaces where people feel welcomed and cared for. Felix, a politics graduate turned chef, brings an impressive culinary pedigree to 209, having honed his craft in world-renowned kitchens, including Kontrast in Oslo and Restaurant Frantzen in Sweden.
Their shared passion for food and community brought them back to Cheshire after considering settling abroad in New Zealand. When the opportunity arose to transform the Farmhouse Café space into their dream bistro, the couple poured their heart and soul into every detail. From handcrafted tables to a menu celebrating fresh, seasonal ingredients, 209 is a labour of love.
The bistro offers an ever-evolving menu of snacks, small plates, sharing dishes, and handcrafted desserts, complemented by an extensive wine list. Open daily for breakfast and brunch (8am–2pm) and Wednesday through Saturday evenings for wine and dinner (5:30pm–9pm), 209 is a place where locals can gather, relax, and enjoy great food in a cosy, welcoming setting.
At its core, 209 isn’t about trends or profit—it’s about the joy of bringing people together. Felix and Anna invite you to join them and discover the simple pleasure of genuine hospitality and expertly crafted cuisine in the heart of Cheshire.
