About

People, Places, Races

Bollington resident and ultra adventurer Caroline Constable, who creates under the name Run Walk Draw, is presenting her first solo exhibition, People, Races, Places, at The Gallery at The Nose Café in Tegg’s Nose Country Park. Caroline is known locally for her honesty box in Bollington, where cards and prints of her colourful continuous-line drawings are available to passers-by. Her distinctive style, often created in a single flowing line and filled with bold colour, captures energy and movement rather than fine detail. The exhibition brings together sketches that celebrate races Caroline has completed, portraits of people she has met along the way, and vibrant depictions of landscapes she has explored both locally and further afield. A selection of experimental pieces adds a playful dimension to the show, reflecting her curiosity and willingness to push creative boundaries. As well as being an artist, Caroline is a passionate ultra runner. She completed the infamous Marathon des Sables in 2024 and ran her first 100-mile single-stage race in 2025. A proud member of Bollington Harriers, she enjoys multi-day challenges and is already training for her next adventure: the 230km Al Andalus Trail in Andalucía. All art sales from the exhibition contribute to supporting these endurance challenges. Caroline explains: “Art and ultra running are surprisingly similar. Both are about energy, movement, and storytelling. This exhibition is my way of celebrating the people, places, and experiences that inspire me.” Visitors can enjoy this colourful and dynamic exhibition daily from 9am to 4pm, before or after a walk in one of Macclesfield’s most scenic spots. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome.
