Heritage Open Day - Free Paradise Mill Visit!
For one day only, as part of Heritage Open Days, you have the chance to visit Paradise Mill for free!
Explore Paradise Mill's surviving weaving floor and learn about the people who once worked there. Watch and listen to the memories of past employees and their relatives and discover how research into the museum's archives has enabled our volunteers to uncover the lives behind impersonal lists of workers' names preserved in the archives.
Volunteers who researched and produced this brand new interpretation will be on hand on the day to talk about the process of researching and filming the videos.
The project that resulted in this new interpretation was supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
