Mona Siddiqui OBE FRSE FRSA, is Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies at the University of Edinburgh. She has written widely on Islamic jurisprudence and ethics, and Christian-Muslim relations. Mona is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’ programme and 'The Moral Maze'. In Scotland, she chairs the Religious Advisory Committee or the BBC and is demand at international events as a respected speaker and commentator. In this talk, Mona will consider the crucial issue of Christian-Muslim relations. She will explore in particular the limits of pluralism in today’s secular liberal democracies.
This promises to be a thought provoking talk about issues and relationships that lay at the heart of modern society.
