Tatton Park Teams Up with Wild in Art to Launch ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ sculpture trail, this Summer.

Get ready for an unforgettable family adventure as Tatton Park partners with the creative minds at Wild in Art to bring the beloved children’s story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt to life in a colourful outdoor arts trail.

Summer days out

Launching just in time for the summer holidays, the magical trail will see Tatton Park’s iconic gardens home to a very special collection of eight bear sculptures, providing a colourful landscape of imagination, discovery, and excitement for families of all ages. Make it a full day out and continue the adventure down to the farm, where there will be two more bear sculptures to find, as well as taking part in the farm’s summer activities which includes the maize maze, storytelling, hatchery fun and taster Tuesdays.

A classic children’s story

Inspired by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s classic tale, families are invited to follow in the footsteps of the brave adventurers as they navigate swishy grass, splishy-splashy rivers, and swirling snowstorms—all in search of the elusive bears.

Featuring a series of beautifully painted sculptures designed by artists for Wild in Art, the trail is suitable for children of all ages and encourages outdoor play, storytelling, and a love of nature.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Wild in Art once again, to bring this cherished story to life,” said Caroline Jackson, Marketing Manager at Tatton Park. “The trail offers a unique blend of art, literature, and the great outdoors—perfect for making magical memories with the whole family.”

Wild in Art, known for its vibrant and engaging public art trails, brings its signature creativity to this enchanting experience. Charlie Langhorne, Managing Director and Co-founder Wild in Art, says: “We're thrilled to be continuing our ongoing partnership with Tatton Park to bring our We’re Going on a Bear Hunt trail to the gardens and farm. Our events enable thousands of people of all ages to experience art by making it part of everyday life. The bears are a fantastic spectacle and showcase a wonderful wealth of artist talent.”

The trail will run in the gardens and at the Farm, from Saturday 19 July to 7 September 2025*.
