Visit Cheshire Tourism Awards 2026
Submit an award winning nomination
- Choose which category you wish to enter; there might be more than one that is relevant to your business. However, it is recommended that you submit no more than up to 3 high quality applications in the categories that are most relevant to your business.
- Read ‘Top Tips’ shown below, for filling in nominations forms before you start drafting your application.
- You can save and print off sample forms to review and complete at any time prior to submitting the final version in the nominations portal, sample application forms are at the bottom of this page.
- You will receive a confirmation email to acknowledge receipt of your entry. If you don't receive this or have any questions email awards@marketing.cheshireandwarrington.com
- All entries must be submitted via the online nominations portal by the deadline – 22nd August 2025, nominations cannot be accepted via email or any other format.






Top Tips for filling in nomination forms
We recommend that you complete your answers in the sample nomination word document forms at the bottom of this web page, which you can download, save and return to as required. When you are happy with your answers, cut and paste into the online nominations portal here.
- Check that you are eligible to enter the chosen category
- Check the entry terms and conditions
- Read the criteria carefully to ensure that you choose the right category or categories
- Answer all questions fully, do not leave blank and maximise your word count
- Read the criteria and answer what is asked, don't deviate from the question
- Assume the judges know nothing and have never heard of your business. Tell your story, sell yourself/your business and provide facts that show your successes
- Be aware that the judges will look at websites, social media and TripAdvisor
- Put yourself in the judges’ shoes. Is it easy to read, with relevant information, is it inspiring?
- Make sure you check your spellings
- Get a colleague to read through before you submit
- Good presentation is important – don’t be shy – this is your time to shine!
Why does it matter?
Feel Good
In the words of James Brown ... Extend that feel good factor to your team and wider business. Submitting an award is a demonstration of confidence in your team and a win can really boost staff morale. Use the awards evening as an opportunity to celebrate and reward staff for their commitment and hard work.
Accreditation
Both winners and highly commended businesses receive certificates and kitemarks in digital and physical forms to use through-out their business, showing visitors they are accredited as award winning by the official local visitor economy organisation.
Recognition
If you make it through to finalist stage your business will immediately receive publicity as part of the process, the only awards in the sector that gives winners an opportunity to represent Cheshire in the national awards; VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. Giving your business national exposure and recognition.
