Cafe 1092 in the Refectory is located within the nearly thousand year old Chester Cathedral. Cafe 1092 is set in a thirteenth century monks' dining hall and is a Chester feature not to be missed. Whether on a cathedral visit, a shopping trip in Chester, or a business meeting, this stunning cafe is the perfect stop for coffee or lunch. The cafe includes a seventeenth -century tapestry on the west wall, paintings representing the Earls of Chester and the beautiful Creation Window depicting the six days of creation.
