The Grosvenor Museum, Chester welcomes Adrian Sumner on Saturday 12 July, (2pm to 3.15pm) for an illustrated talk ‘The Art of Scotland, Ireland & Wales; tale of Celtic Interlace, Sacred Places & Early Christian Art.’
Adrian is a very engaging and knowledgeable speaker and has lectured at universities, on cruise ships and has undertaken Study Tours with groups to many European destinations.
Adrian will take the audience on a windswept journey of the Folklore, Fantasy and History of three countries. He will share spectacular images of the inspired art, architecture and sculpture of all three, as well as discussing the influence of the Vikings, the Pan-European Celtic culture, the rise of Early
Christianity and the Church of Rome, and how the English survived all this.
