1. Tatton Park’s Fairytale Scarecrow Festival
From February 15th to March 2nd, get yourself to Tatton Park’s whimsical Fairytale Scarecrow Festival. Explore the gardens and farm to find scarecrows dressed as your favourite fairytale characters – think Rapunzel, Goldilocks, and more! It’s a lovely way to spend a day outside, and it’s open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm (with the last entry at 3 pm). Just a heads up, it’s closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly!
2. BeWILDerwood Cheshire’s Buy One Get One Free Offer
Get ready for a bit of magic at BeWILDerwood, the award-winning adventure park based on Tom Blofeld’s much-loved children’s books. Packed with giant treehouses, zip wires, maze muddles, and storytelling shows, there’s something for everyone! 3. Magic vs Science at Jodrell Bank
Discover a MIND-BENDING world where magic meets science this half term at Jodrell Bank! 4. Mars at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens
Check out the stunning “Mars” art installation by Luke Jerram at Norton Priory Museum in Runcorn. Running from January 28th to March 9th, 2025, it’s an immersive blend of art and science that’ll leave you in awe. If you’re into a bit of culture and a dash of sci-fi, this one’s a must.
5. National Trust Fun at Quarry Bank & Lyme
The National Trust has loads to offer this half-term! Take a stroll around the beautiful gardens and woodlands at Quarry Bank, then join Sir Monty Webber the moth on his exciting journey inside the mill. Or, head to Lyme and enjoy their FREE art trail with arty activities along the way – perfect for unleashing your inner artist!
6. A New Musical at Storyhouse
This February, Storyhouse in Chester is hosting the premiere of The Parent Agency – The Musical, based on David Baddiel’s bestselling book. With music by Dan Gillespie-Sells (of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie fame), this musical is a hilarious, heartfelt show for anyone who’s ever been a child, had a parent, or wished they weren’t called Barry. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!
7. Poppy Fields at Chester Cathedral
Chester Cathedral is lighting up this half-term with Luxmuralis’ brand-new show, Poppy Fields. This immersive sound and light installation takes you on a journey through art that reflects on the end of the world wars and the hopes for a peaceful future. It’s a moving, poignant experience – perfect for some reflective time out. The show runs with limited spaces per session, so don’t forget to book!
8. Craft Workshops at Cheshire West Museums
Get crafty this half-term with the Cheshire West Museums! Pop into Lion Salt Works or Weaver Hall Museum for some fun and creative craft workshops. It’s a great way for kids to unleash their creativity and take home something they made themselves!
9. Early Season Special at Gulliver’s World Resort
