Get ready for a delightful autumn adventure! On October 26th and 27th, Crewe town centre and grand junction retail park will transform into a magical Pumpkin Trail, inviting families to explore the town in a festive and fun-filled way. From 10 AM to 5 PM each day, join us for a whimsical journey featuring creatively decorated pumpkins, carved by well renowned artists, scattered throughout the town.
The Pumpkin Trail promises to be an exciting experience for young families, encouraging exploration and community spirit. Participants will receive a trail map to guide them through Crewe, allowing them to discover local shops, parks, and hidden gems while enjoying the seasonal atmosphere.
Highlights of the Pumpkin Trail:
- Pumpkins professionally carved by renowned sculptors: Our pumpkins have been painstakingly designed and carved by Sand in Your Eye, a nationally recognised art installation company
- Supported by local artists: We will be working in collaboration with Crewe Makes, a collective of local artists who will be doing fun activities to support the Halloween theme and may even have some sweet treats for intrepid trail blazers
- Local Treats: Stop by local cafes and shops to enjoy seasonal treats, and explore what Crewe has to offer, you never know what other interesting surprises you might find
- Photo Opportunities: Capture the moment and share pictures of yourselves with our sculptures on social media
How to Participate:
- Find one of our pumpkins: The five pumpkins will be spread through Crewe town centre and the entrance to the Grand Junction Retail Park
- Explore the Trail: Take a note of the map at the first pumpkin you find or follow the QR code at the pumpkin to see where the other pumpkins are hidden.
- Take note of the letters: Each pumpkin will have one letter associated with it. Take a note and once you’ve collected all the letters you will be able to spell a word but what is it?
- Puzzle out the anagram: when you’ve worked out what you think the answer is follow the QR code on any of the pumpkins to enter your guess. For your chance to win opening night tickets to this year’s Panto Beauty and the Beast at the Lyceum theatre in Crewe
- Share Your Experience: Use #CrewePumpkinTrail on social media to share your adventure and photos.
Mark your calendars for this enchanting weekend in Crewe! The Pumpkin Trail is free to attend and suitable for all ages. Come and celebrate the season with us, making cherished memories with your loved ones.
