Exclusive new flavours in the world’s largest ice cream shop; free entry to Europe's
biggest indoor sand and water play area; and an inclusive Santa’s Grotto and
Elves’ Workshop are set to make Christmas at The Ice Cream Farm a unique
family-friendly experience this festive season.
The wintry fun begins at the Tattenhall visitor attraction on the 4th November. From
then until Valentine’s Day 2025, all visitors who buy an Entry Ticket to The Ice
Cream Farm can access Honeycomb Canyon’s interactive sand pits and water play
equipment for free!
In The Parlour (the world’s largest ice cream shop), a new menu of Cheshire Farm
Ice Cream flavours includes returning festive favourites Mince Pie, Christmas
Pudding and Chocolate Orange, alongside bespoke Brownie and Biscoffi.
While the calendar of Christmas events features Cookie Making with Santa’s Elves
and a Bottomless Breakfast with Santa.
“Winter at The Ice Cream Farm will focus on inclusivity for families, in terms of cost,
accessibility and age range,” said Owner and CEO Jonathan Fell. “We're
introducing free entry to Honeycomb Canyon to make a visit more affordable.
“We've also got lower priced events for visitors on a budget, like Storytime with
Santa, alongside our traditional, annual Christmas Grotto and Elves’ Workshop.
“For Special Educational Needs (SEN) children there is a dedicated Santa’s Grotto
festive experience for families requiring a quieter space.
“And not forgetting The Ice Cream Drive In next door; a chilled setting to stop by
for a treat with teens, or when older kids are home for the Christmas holidays.”

Story Starters
- New flavours in the world’s largest ice cream shop - The Ice Cream Farm is home to (officially) the world’s largest ice cream shop - The Parlour. This winter's menu of award-winning Cheshire Farm Ice Cream includes bespoke flavours such as Biscoffi, Brownie, Donut, Dinosaur and Sticky Toffee Pudding. There are also specials such as Vanilla Oreo, Marz, BlackBerry Panna cotta and Salted Toffee Popcorn, as well as returning festive favourites Mince Pie, Christmas Pudding and Chocolate Orange.
- Free entry to Europe’s biggest indoor sand and water play area - Honeycomb Canyon is The Ice Cream Farm's covered, interactive sand and water play area, which is the largest of its kind in Europe. Here children of all ages can play in the sand pits, create dams in the water channels, and explore the climbing frames. And from 4th November 2024 to 14 February 2025, entry to Honeycomb Canyon will be absolutely free! (All visitors need to pay for an Entry Ticket to The Ice Cream Farm - or use their Family & Friends Shared Membership which gives free entry for four all winter).
- SEN Santa’s Grotto experience - The Ice Cream Farm’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) sessions are a monthly event for SEN children and their families to experience all the fun of the farm in an inclusive environment. This year, over the weekend of 23th/24th November, there will be the usual SEN Session, as well as a dedicated SEN Santa’s Grotto. Allowing for a quieter environment, there will be limited numbers and music and hand dryers will be turned off.
- Improved accessibility at The Ice Cream Farm - We're always striving to be more accessible and by winter 2024 we will have completed an accessible toilet at The PlayHouse; which will include a changing bed, rails, larger access area and other accessible features. This is part of our commitment to make our space more accommodating for everyone, ensuring all who visit can enjoy our facilities with comfort and dignity. It will also help us to welcome more groups who require these facilities to enjoy an inclusive play experience at The Ice Cream Farm.
